The Melbourne Tigers have announced their signing of import point guard Ayinde Ubaka back to the Team to replace injured point guard Stephen Dennis. Ayinde "chewy" Ubaka played for the Melbourne Tigers in the 2011-12 season untill he was fired in the locker room after a loss by a former owner of the Tigers Seamus McPeake. Ubaka was brought to the league by the Gold Coast Blaze in 2009-10 and then went on to take the Cairns Wildcats to their first ever Grand Finals appearance in the 2010-11 season. Ubaka averaged 14.1 points and 3.7 assists in his career in the NBL so is a known entity in the league and should be a smooth fit into the Tigers team. Im looking forward to seeing Ubaka back in the NBL and if he is able to keep up with the strong import recruits we have seen this year.
